A MOST DARING ACT.—ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS REWARD.—A Mulatto Fellow called ROBERT, belonging to Dr. Thomas Lining, who has been a runaway for six weeks past, came upon my plantation on the night of the 27th inst., and enticed, or in fact, carried off his wife and three children, to wit: Mary, his wife, about 25 years of age, a mustee complexion, rather inclined to be stout, and has very protuberant eyes; Julius, her son, 6 years of age, a mulatto, with brown hair; Beckey, her daughter, of the same color, 4 years old, and an infant, Tom.
I will pay the above reward for their apprehension and delivery to me, and a further reward of fifty dollars for the apprehension of the said Fellow Robert, and one hundred dollars more for proof to conviction of their being harbored by any responsible person.
All masters of vessels are forbid taking them out of the State, as the law will be strictly enforced against them. Apply to CHAS. F. NEYLE, Ashepoo, or to RICHARD ROPER, Charleston.
